A small Vancouver studio, a curious African Grey, and a quiet conviction that natural jade should be shown for what it actually is.
Our shop is named after Molly — an African Grey parrot with a careful eye for shiny pebbles. On hikes she would tug at our pockets for the prettiest stones, and at home she liked to perch on a hand wearing one of our bracelets. Her instincts shaped ours.
Molly Gemstone began in 2024 as a small, personally curated collection of natural jade for people who appreciate honest stones. Every piece is chosen by hand, photographed in natural daylight, and prepared in our Vancouver studio. We don’t list anything we wouldn’t wear ourselves.
What we do
We work with Type A jadeite from two of the world’s living jade traditions: Burma (Myanmar), where warm imperial greens, lavenders, and traditional carving styles have been refined over centuries; and Guatemala, where rare blue-water jadeite — the cool oceanic blues and teals — has only recently begun reaching collectors outside Mesoamerica.
Our approach is small-batch and personal. We source directly from trusted family-owned suppliers, finish and photograph each piece in our Vancouver studio, and inspect everything by hand before it goes up for sale.

We price each piece at what we believe it’s honestly worth, not at an inflated tag waiting for a sale. Occasional promotions are real — the everyday price is the genuine value of the stone, the setting, and the work behind it.
